Tom Jones made a rare club appearance in Los Angeles when he joined his friend Hugh Laurie onstage at The Mint for an album launch party.

The TV star-turned-bluesman was promoting his new album Let Them Talk at the tiny jazz and blues club when Welsh singer Jones stepped up to perform a Jerry Lee Lewis medley of End of the Road and Great Balls of Fire.

It's not the first time the two Brits have worked together.  Jones also belted out Baby, Please Make a Change for Laurie's new album. The odd couple also performed that track.

Laurie was backed by members of Tom Waits' band at his Los Angeles club gig, during which he performed blues standards like Buddy Bolden's Blues, You Don't Know My Mind and Careless Love.
