Newport Television’s FOX 30 WAWS-TV, CBS47 WTEV-TV and MY Network stations are looking for our next reporter. If you want to tell visually compelling stories on television, the web and mobile platforms while living in a sunny beach climate, we have the job for you. We need someone who lives for breaking news, knows how to capture emotion and can tell stories that drive ratings. We are looking for someone who can work well in a high stress environment under deadline pressure and has experience in all facets of media. You must have flexibility to work nights, weekends and changing schedules. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required. You should have strong broadcast and AP style writing skills and be proficient at posting content to web sites. The person we hire will be able to research and develop original news stories, gather facts to support specific assigned news stories, conduct and record live interviews and deliver compelling well-written stories and live shots. Experience with non-linear editing, videography and ENPS newsroom computers preferred.
