"Rainy Days & Monday's".....It's going to rain. The only question really is when, how much & how long.
The first area of rain Sun. night was triggered by an upper level disturbance & warm, humid air aloft flowing northward. A brief break will be followed by an expanding shield of rain during the day Mon. that will continue into Mon. evening. The expansive area of rain will include a few embedded t'storms & areas of heavy rainfall with everyone getting rain & amounts averaging 1-2", locally more across NE Fl....& a half inch to an inch, 1-1.5" in a few spots across SE Ga.
Like several of the last storm systems to affect the First Coast, temps. will range widely from north to south. Near Homerville, Waycross & Blackshear, temps. will struggle just to get ouf of the 40s while afternoon highs will reach 70+ near Palatka. Inbetween temps. will be in the 50s north of I-10 & 60s south of I-10.
Given the strength of a vigorous upper level disturbance, it's possible we could see a few strong storms south of I-10 but instability will be greatly hindered by thick clouds & rain, so I'm not anticipating widespread strong storms. Rain will end by the middle of the night Mon. leaving us with a mostly sunny & dry but cool Tue.
Congrat's Pack!
