We receive questions every year about how much flying we do, how many people/cargo we move, and other inquiries about our daily operations. Here are some quick numbers from 2008:

Flight Time in 2008 - 656.7 Hours

Flight Time By Major Users:
  • Maintenance/Facility Management – 195. 6 Hours
  • Search and Rescue/Medivacs – 123.3 Hours
  • Wildland Fire – 316.1 Hours

Mission Summary in 2008

Total Passengers Flown – 2,234
Total Cargo Flown – 609,314 pounds (304.7 tons)
Medivacs – 132 Patients
Shorthauls – 8 Operational
Wildland Fire:
  • 18 Initial Attack and 10 Large Fire Support
  • Water Dropped - 93,434 gallons
  • Aerial Ignition - 12.3 Hours and 58,000 balls dropped
  • Helirappel - 6 Operational

Helicopter Training Academy from 2009 (taskbook completion through the Academy is not guaranteed)

  • Crewmember Taskbooks Completed - 18 (81%)
  • Manager Taskbooks Completed - 1 (17% -- for most this was their first assignment)
