Family, Friends Say Goodbye To 2-Year-Old Haydon West

MANCHESTER, Tenn. -- The Family of Tullahoma toddler Haydon West gathered in Manchester, Tenn., on Sunday, to say goodbye.
Haydon's family decorated the chapel with his favorite cartoon character, "SpongeBob SquarePants."They described the 2-year-old as an energetic boy who loved riding his bike and playing with toy cars, despite being born premature.Haydon died March 9. Police charged his mother's boyfriend, Thomas Greenwood, with killing him while babysitting.The child’s mother, Renee West, recounted on Monday the last time she saw her child."He was bruised from head-to-toe. His face was bruised. He had a gash under his chin. He had a gash in back of his head. His eye was black. His nose was bleeding," said West.West said she and Greenwood had been dating for about a month before the incident occurred. She wouldn't say much about her former boyfriend, except that she was not aware of any prior abuse.
