Steve put over 6800 miles on this puppy when he was 15!  Known to
take off with his Dad for 3 day trips.
1974 50 minitrail with 75cc motor, side mount carbs. Built by Steve.

Shop in 1975-1977. Maico 400.
1974 125 CR125 Elsinore. Fork work, suspension, portwork, chamber
and other mods by Steve.  At this time most suspension mods on the rear
had the bottom mount for the shock on the swingarm moved up towards midpoint on
the swingarm.  The results were broken swingarms, broken shocks or severely built up swingarms.
Steve had a better idea.  He called Charlie Curnett up and told him he
wanted a long pair of shocks with additional travel.  He moved the
upper mounts and gave Charlie the ratio of swingarm/shock travel.  The results
was 7.8" travel, which at this time was a lot!  Charlie Curnett was spot on with this shock.
He told me I should have a lot of sag to get the most out of it.  At this time sag was
a no-no.  The results was a great working bike for this time period.
Charlie was ahead of his time with this thinking!
16th Birthday. Tires, boots, hammer and money!
What else could I ask for?
