Groups of members also form chapters; so as an ISOC member, you could either join an existing chapter or start one yourself. IndividualsIndividuals can become Global Members of ISOC free of charge, or choose to join as a Sustaining Member and pay an annual membership fee. In either category, you're welcome and encouraged to get involved in an ISOC chapter, helping us continue to reach out locally on a global basis. Note that individual chapters have different processes for participation and membership. ChaptersGroups of people who live in the same area or share an interest in specific issues can form an ISOC Chapter. Chapters are a vital to ISOC’s mission, working within their region or special interest community to provide local and regional perspectives to ISOC on developments and issues that affect the evolution of the Internet. OrganisationsISOC’s Organisation members include corporations; nonprofit, trade, and professional organisations; foundations; educational institutions; government agencies; and other national and international organisations that share ISOC’s commitment to an open and accessible Internet. Organisation memberships are available at several levels, so you can select a level of commitment, recognition, and benefits to suit your organisation. Platinum members may also direct their contributions to specific programs that they wish to support.
