Mr. Chmiel (Administrator of Slupsk Rural Township - which covers Redzikowo air force base), resolutely disagrees to the location of the MD site within his township because:

It is too close to Redzikowo and Slupsk population centers

The Township's Council views the area as a passenger airport and business hub.

The needs of the local population are slighted.

The US do not intend to contribute to modernization of the Polish military.
Mr Chmiel is also concerned, by the lack of concrete and full knowledge on the site, particularly on how it will affect the safety of the local people.
