Living Forgotten Realms Updates
Shared World Records and Adventuring Companies

Our newest shared-world campaign is now our largest ever! Thanks to all of our members for organizing, DMing, and playing their first Living Forgotten Realms (LFR for short) games in the past few months. In just this short time, we've completely demolished all previous sanctioning records with our new campaign. Our first Weekend in the Realms event also grabbed a lot of new players into the fold, and we gained valuable feedback about what you'd like to see in 2009 for LFR. However, we're not resting easy in 2009; we have a lot of great, new stuff to offer LFR players in 2009! Check it out:

January-March 2009 adventure schedule is now available. Go to www.wizards.com/rpga, click on "Living Forgotten Realms" under the "Campaigns" selection in the left navigation. On the Living Forgotten Realms home page, click on the "Adventures" link. On that page, you'll find a list of the new LFR adventures for the next few months, as well as all previous offerings!

Adventuring Companies are coming soon! The next update to the RPGA Character Creation Guide is due to hit in January. In that update, you'll find the rules for creating your own adventuring company. What's an adventuring company? Well, it's a group you create that shares some sort of common bond. Maybe all your members are dwarves from the same clan, or perhaps you're a sect of an in-game order you've joined. When you play together with members of that group, you'll get a special bonus for doing so. An adventuring company can be as small as four characters or as large as hundreds of characters; the only limitations on the company are the ones you create!

Administrators wanted! We currently have open administrator positions for Luruar (UK/Ireland/South Africa) writing director, Dalelands (Northern Europe/Russia) point-of-contact, Aglarond (Southeast US) event manager, and Impiltur (Southern Europe/Turkey) event manager. If you're interested in applying for these positions, please contact global administrators Sean Molley (sean@basementsoftware.com) for the Aglarond position and Pieter Sleijpen (madfox@planet.nl) for the Dalelands, Impiltur, and Luruar positions.

See you in 2009!
