    Now come on guys, Call Of Duty: WaW is a really well-made game. It gets bashed way too much just because it's another WW2 game. It's really sad that Treyarch goes down in the books as the company that didn't live up to it's predecessor, when really it's got the same fun multiplayer (not quite as good, but still amazing) - And a much more detailed campaign... don't get me wrong I like COD4: MW a little better, but it doesn't "suck" by any means. ANYWAYS, I think BF: 1943 is gonna be real fun - it reminds me of Warhawk

    This game has a lot to live up to. It looks like there keeping the formula from BF2 and BF2142, Should be good.

    Looks hella intense and i really hate WW2 games except for the Call of Duty series but the developers are pushing the WW2 stuff way to far i like Modern Warfare, but this game might also be an exception too considering the amount of players and vehicles that can be on the battlefield all at once. It looks just like a downsized version of a real WW2 battle.

    Is there some sort of pattern here? I mean after 1943 are they going to release BF3, and then 2143? But in all honesty, this game was probably the last thing I was expecting from EA.

    If you are looking for a real battlefield sim then this will surely dissapoint. The battlefield games arent meant to simulate real life although they are still fun to play in clans. Ill be waiting for arma2 and OFP2. I may give this a shot although after the BF2 days i have grown out of the series.

    I agree that it is a very team oriented game, but unless you're in a clan most servers out there will have a lot of people who like to do the whole lets go run around wherever without any thought about what's going on in the game! I've had people take vehicles that can house more than one person and drive off on their own and what not.

    no, thegamecritic, those screens on GI are from battlefield 1943, bad company was set in modern times so im guessing the second will be as well, GI prob just messed up and put up the wrong pic

    Ok Im confused. At GameInformer's site they just released screens for battlefield:Bad Company 2.     Yeah fully agree with frank, all true BF games need a 64 player option otherwise there isn't enough players for all the classes and vehicles.

    Here's to hoping the PC version will support 64 players.

    The fact consoles can't support bots makes me a sad panda. With only 24 people these maps are going to seem extremely wide open and empty.

    Okay for the ppl asking for more info on typical battlefield pc games. You get hitpoints, each gun takes certain amounts of bullets to kill. But pc versions if you aim for the head its a quick kill. Plus body armour usually slows the process of killing. JUST PLEASE REMEMBER NOT ALL GAMES ARE CALL OF DUTY.

    Battlefield is a game where teamplay is a MAJOR factor. There are not many lone wolfs in battlefield, if you are you will usually die and get fed up with the game. Even snipers go in teams. Its not a run and gun game. It takes tactics and plans to capture bases (conquest mode) and lots of thinking, which is why i like it, COD is more YEH LETS GO KILL SOME PEOPLE.

    Its a very fun game, and you make lots of friend playing it, and enemies. Its not so much a tactical shooter, but a battlefield simulation. If you really want to see the game, get battlfield 2 for the pc to see what this series is all about. Its just epic. Im glad dice are going back to their original roots as this is what made them different from other games. I also like the weapon availablity from the start. Again it simulates the battlefield, and aircraft own!

    I cannot wait for the next modern battlefield for the console, i think bad company was good for a newbie to consoles, and i know im on a xbox forum by accident, but i think the ps3 could handle 64 players online!

    I've never played a Battlefield game except BF:BC.
    I really liked that game except the fact that it took so many shots to kill people, it kind of killed it for me.

    Can someone with knowledge of the franchise tell me if 1943 (Based on what 1942 is like) is similar to BC in the amount of shots you take or is it more like a Call of Duty game.

    Oh yeah! If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And the original Battlefield 1942 was such a gut-busting revolution. It created an entirely new genre. Online gaming has been playing catch-up ever since. This is the kind of do-over I can more than live with. If other developers only followed suit... Valve... Half Life (wink wink)... BioWare... Kotor (wink wink) [Especially since they decided to come out with Old Republic instead]. I'm definitely checking this one out.

    This game is so gonna beast. It is 1942 only on PS3 and 360. I loved the original on the pc and i hope this one is the same thing just without the glitches and better graphics!

    Wish they'd just hurry up and get a BF3 out there... I know most people hate BF2 and love BF1942, but I thought BF2 was brilliant, it played excelently (and the Project Reality mod was even better) And I loved 2142 as well, but the gameplay in Bad Company just felt like an awkward and more boring version of CoD4, and this looks like it's going to be similar to it... Hope they go back to the way they made games for the PC... Even BF:MC was better than Bad Company I thought...

    this arcade game seems like its going to be awsome..i would imagine its only going to be 19.99 seeing how its a download game...but i think this game will be worth it to hold me over untill BF BC2

    I already own Battlefield 1942 and this looks just like it. Same maps, same units. Maybe they could've come up with different maps and I'd be interested. I'm gonna pass on this scam.

    Boy, I'm tired of remakes. What a lack of creativity. I thought Bad Company was gonna be exelent, but it's faulty.
    After playing Crysis, nothing has ever been the same as a gamer. Which is good, because now I don't play any mediocre game is released. I'll just say this: Killzone 2.

    Actually its a remake of battlefield 1942 and you would probably would want to get for the PC version. I can tell you already the Console is going to be crap. I was a hardcore battlefield 2 and played a little but of 1942 but that map was Wake Island! Map looked like exactly the same as the BF2 and 1942 version. HAHA! I hope theirs is new material in this.

    Is it just me or is this game an exact copy of Bad Company, with WWII back ground?

    Graphics are the same, physics model is the same, explosions, trees and building destruction. I just hope it won't have the same crap squad invite system......

    Hells yeah! Ill get that. I still play the original AND the awesome FH mod on my PC. Actually I think the original has gotten better with age. Not as many noobs, more team work. It took a couple years for all the little retards to get bored with team fragging and vech stealing...probably why I end up playing it more now then I did back then!

    where's original theme song ? it's great music and I hope they don't remix it as well as in 2142.

    @faceman420 , ppl still playing and I'm one of them , they reach 700 players in weekends and that's too much for pretty old game. and I think it's still great.
