Ticket information

Warning: Always ensure tickets are purchased from an authorised Australian Open ticket agent, Australian Open Licensed Tour Operator or Australian Open Licensed Hospitality Agents. Failure to do so could mean that access to Melbourne Park is denied.

Children

Children 2 years and under are admitted free to Melbourne Park, but must be nursed in seated areas.

Restricted View and Restricted Leg Room seats
Seats in the front 2 rows of Rod Laver Arena are sold as restricted view, as handrails and signage partially obstruct a patron’s view of the court. Seats in Row PP in RLA have restricted leg room, compared to all other rows in the arena.

Concessions
Concession prices for Rod Laver Arena and Hisense Arena tickets are available for children 15 years and under, full-time students and pensioners. Please note that only Australian student and pension cards are accepted and must be shown at the time the seats are purchased. Seniors cards and health care cards are not accepted. Concession tickets are not available for Ground Pass Entry.

Show Court Minding Seat Policy
No holding seats for more than three (3) change of ends.

Pass Outs
Patrons must ensure that if leaving and returning to the venue during a session that they scan their ticket out at the exits.

ROD LAVER ARENA
Rod Laver Arena Series or Single Session tickets are a reserved seat for the date and session printed on the ticket. The tickets also act as a ground pass and provide, subject to seat availability, access to all other outside courts except Hisense Arena.

HISENSE ARENA
Hisense Arena Series or Single Session tickets are a reserved seat for the date and session printed on the ticket. The tickets also act as a ground pass and provide, subject to seat availability, access to all other outside courts except Rod Laver Arena.

GROUND PASS
A Ground Pass ticket allows access to Margaret Court Arena and all other outside courts subject to availability. There is NO access to Rod Laver Arena or Hisense Arena.

AFTER 5’ GROUND PASS
An After 5 Ground Pass is available again for Australian Open 2008 from Mon 19 - Sat 24 January only, and will provide access to Melbourne Park from 5pm. Perfect for patrons attending after work and includes access (subject to availability) to a new feature night match on Margaret Court Arena starting at approx. 7.30pm.

MEN’S SINGLES FINAL
On the final day of the tournament the Men’s Single’s Final will be played as part of a Twilight session commencing at 4.00pm with the MS Final starting at approx. 7.30pm. This twilight session will feature entertainment in Garden Square, Spiegelworld, Spiegeltent and a concert in Hisense Arena. There will also be entertainment on court by renowned Australian performers.

Ground Pass tickets for this special session will be priced at $20 and includes access to the final night concert and viewing of the finals on the Giant Video Screen.

WOMEN’S SINGLES FINAL
The Women’s Single’s Final will be played as part of a Twilight session in 2009. The Girl’s Single’s Final will commence at 1:00 pm and subject to this match being finished by 4:00 pm will be followed by the Boy’s Single Final. The Women’s Single Final will start at approximately 7:30 pm followed by the Men’s Doubles Final. This twilight session will feature entertainment in Garden Square, Spiegelworld, Spiegeltent and a concert in Hisense Arena. There will also be entertainment on court by renowned Australian performers.

Ground Pass tickets for this special session will be priced at $20 and includes access to the final night concert and viewing of the finals on the Giant Video Screen.

SPIEGELWORLD
Entry to Spiegelworld is free with a Rod Laver Arena Series or Single session ticket, a Hisense Arena Series or Single session ticket, a Ground Pass or Corporate ticket.

SPIEGELTENT – TENNIS ELBOW FAMILY CIRCUS BY DISLOCATE, ABSINTHE AND ACCOUSTIC CONCERTS
A Spiegeltent ticket provides access to Tennis Elbow Family Circus, Absinthe and Open Late Concerts. This ticket MUST be presented with a valid same day Australian Open ticket.

HISENSE ARENA CONCERT TICKET
A Hisense Arena concert ticket will provide access to either floor or a reserved seat in Hisense Arena along with general admission access to Melbourne Park. These concerts will take place on Saturday 31 January and Saturday 1 February at 5:00 pm.

SUN PROTECTION
As some areas of Melbourne Park are exposed to direct sunlight it is very important that patrons protect their skin against harmful sun radiation by using an effective broad spectrum sunscreen. Other sun protection measures such as hats & sunglasses should also be used to protect against sunburn. In addition patrons are reminded to drink plenty of water and always carry any medication they require.
