Its excellent quality prints, easy-to-set-up wireless connectivity, and generous five-year warranty catapult it to the top of our list of favorites.

The Bottom Line: The Epson Artisan 800 produces impressive color prints, photos, and text documents, and it outpaces the competition in almost all of our speed tests. We're impressed by its performance, but hesitate to recommend this printer based on the poor build quality and error-prone software.

The ESP5 is too expensive and suffers from too many mechanical deficiencies for us to give it our CNET stamp of approval.

The Bottom Line: The HP Photosmart A636 is an excellent at-home photo inkjet printer that's both versatile and easy to use. We highly recommend the A636 for its significant photo quality improvements over the last model and an attractive design to boot.

The Bottom Line: The Canon Selphy CP770 is a neat, little dye-sublimation printer that includes a bucket for easy travel, but the wireless accessories aren't included. If you're shopping for a convenient travel-friendly printer, check out the Canon Selphy CP760 that offers the exact same technology with a similar style for a better price.
