About Dave Krider

During his 46-year journalism career, Dave Krider has helped high school athletics vault from obscurity to national prominence through positions and associations with the likes of USA Today, Street & Smith's, Basketball Weekly, Basketball Times, and SI.com.

In 1997, Krider was elected to both the National High School Hall of Fame and the U.S. Basketball Writers Hall of Fame. He is one of 10 National High School Hall of Fame inductees from the state of Indiana, joining the likes of Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, and John Wooden.

Krider helped cultivate national attention of high school sports for 18 years with the USA Today, providing the football and boys basketball "Super 25" rankings, and selecting national players of the year in the aforementioned sports, as well as baseball.

Krider has authored or co-authored three books. "Uncaged" - published in October of 2006 - chronicles the celebrated high school careers of Greg Oden and Mike Conley, who helped Lawrence North High in Indianapolis, Ind., capture three-straight state titles and a national championship.
