COMPETITOR PROFILE
CHRIS FOWLER

Born in Trenton, Michigan. Now living in Raleigh, North Carolina

Q: How long have you been juggling?
A: A little over 12 years. More seriously for about 5 or 6 years

Q: How did you learn how to juggle?
A: My Dad taught me.

Q: Why did you keep juggling?
A: It was for a talent show, and I guess I just liked the attention.

Q: Why do you want to compete in the WJF competitions?
A: I really love the concept of sport juggling, and love to push myself technically. The WJF just seems like
the best route to pursue that, and be rewarded for pure technique, as opposed to circus, dance, or
performance art.

Q: What are your goals in juggling, technically and professionally?
A: Technically: I want to have very hard, clean routines, that blow people away because they didn't expect me to be capable of the stuff I do. On a more specific note, I would like to win WJF Overall Champion at
least once. Big goal, but with enough training, I can do it.
Professionally: To have enough time to train hard to become the best I can be. Performing in bigger venues.

Q: What kind of training has been the most beneficial in progressing your juggling skills?
A: Drilling through the same tricks a little bit every day. This ends up taking about 3 hours, and then I
have to devote more time if I want to improve in other areas.

Q: What has had the most influence on your juggling?
A: The Juggling Master trilogy, and the Thomas Dietz juggling video series. Also WJF in general.

Additional notes: "One pretty neat random fact is that I once bowled a perfect 300 game...
that was pretty cool."

See Chris Fowler compete in the 2008 WJF Overall Championship at WJF 5, December 17th - 23rd, 2008 at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.
