ABOUT

HBO and AEG Live will team up once again to make Las Vegas “the home of funny” when the second annual edition of The Comedy Festival is presented Nov. 14-18, 2006. With TBS returning as title sponsor, the event will expand to five days and feature dozens of performances and special events in a variety of venues within Caesars Palace, including The Colosseum, with 4100 seats, and the outdoor Roman Plaza amphitheater.

Building on more than a decade of success with the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, HBO joined forces with live event producer AEG Live in 2005 for the inaugural edition of TCF. The 2005 edition featured a “who’s who” of comedy, including Dave Chappelle, Jon Stewart, Jerry Seinfeld, George Lopez, Wanda Sykes, Bill Maher, Dane Cook, Susie Essman and Lewis Black, among others.

True to its mission of presenting comedy’s biggest stars and cutting-edge talent, the 2006 TCF will present multi-artist performances, tributes, stand-up and sketch comedy, and live televised special events including Comic Relief 2006 with co-hosts Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg and Robin Williams. Check www.thecomedyfestival.com for full festival details.
