  • How to use the Records
    This record series comprises a microfilm copy of a single volume. Use of the records will be determined by the nature of the research. It can be facilitated by way of the indexed headings at the start of the reel.

  • Function / Content
    This record series is a microfilm copy of VPRS 110. The function of that volume was to record information in relation to covicts residing in the Port Phillip District during the period 1842-1854. The record covers the Melbourne, Bourke and Western Port regions. It includes details of convicts' arrivals into the colony, including the name of the ship and date of arrival. It provides the names of assigned servants; a nominal list of ticket of leave holders (1843-1848); applications for tickets of leave commencing 1/1/1843; applications for pardons 8/2/1845 - 26/5/1854; and certificates of of freedom delivered 29/7/1842 - 27/12/1851.
