to know your advice. Would you suggest that the majority of SLA-Families could be returning into a safe future in Libanon? I got this question asked by Libanese here in these camps and wonder. Was the visit of the
Iranian Foreign Minister at the residence of a Maronite Priest a convincing gesture? Are Libanese troops helping Christians, really?
Christians are and have been suffering in Lebanon.
At the moment, Patriarch Sfeir and other clerics are asking for proper treatment of Christians. This is one of the reasons for the entire problem as after Yasir Arafat split the country and initiated a civil war, Syria entered the country to assist and finished by attacking the Christians.
Christians want freedom and not dhimmi status. They lived in a balance with their Muslim neighbors and want that balance restored, as they too trace their roots back to the ancient
Phoenicians and are among the earliest converts to Christianity.
We have had enough of fighting, foreign occupation, we want to live as free people in our own country where all religions have free expression.
Iran is a major problem as they support all the terror groups. No one trusts them and no one wants them in Lebanon.
As long as Syria/Iran and their proxies control Lebanon, there is no safety nor future for Christians in Lebanon.

Syria has just won its war against Lebanon. Syria has now allies in all over the country, whether they are muslims or christians.
The pro-syrian movements in Lebanon and particularly the syrian-iranian backed chiite movement Hezbollah have won their war against the Lebanese nationalists.
The christian community of Lebanon has also lost. She has no leaders in Lebanon who deserves its interest. All without any exception are syrian puppits. They are afraid to die, they
want their head safe and they began to run after the new heroes : the Hezbollah terrorists.

We lost maybe because our allies the israëlis have let us down but also because we were acting as gentlemen.
