Recommendations for podcasts about unhinged individuals that isn’t “true crime” (NOT serial killers, murders, etc)?

This is an oddly specific recommendation request, but I’m looking for podcasts that make you say “omg that person is crazy”, but not in a murder-y true-crime way.

Examples being:

  • Scamanda

  • Recent episodes on “Something was wrong” about the girl that was scamming a bunch of doulas and lying about pregnancies.

  • Sympathy Pains

  • stories about crazy roommates, catfishes, people lying about their entire backstory or making up traumatic events.

It doesn’t just have to be con-artists or scammers either!

Thanks in advance!

What podcasts do you listen to?

I'm looking for some tech podcasts that aren't consumer focused to listen to while on the treadmill and in the car.

If you have an IT podcast share it, I'll listen.

Update

Wow, this is awesome. Thanks for all of the suggestions! This is probably more than I can actually listen to but I'm going to try to sample all of them.

Hail yourselves and Megustalations.

Basically what the title says, any podcasts(or YouTubes even) that are great for morning cardio when you are tired and need a positive boost? Specially ones that focus on prep related content.

I Just rented a movie and paid for UHD because I really want to wtach this movie in 4k. I have a super expensive 4k PC monitor. But because of their restrictions, I can only watch the movie in 480 ! WTF? I've then done some quick research and apparently all the streamers restrict UHD streaming to controled devices and environnements.
So seriously, what are my legal alternatives for watching this movie in 4k if I don't have a tv? NONE! I Guess I'll just ask for a refund and pirate the hell out of this movie.

Podcasts put me to sleep

So I started listening to podcasts last year. Almost always at night. I used to be able to listen to one episode of whatever, and then fall asleep. Something changed and, now, as soon as I get in bed and begin an episode, I conk out within minutes.

Even on weekend afternoons; I'll be fully rested and start listening to a podcast and, the next thing I know, one or both of my kids are shaking me awake.

Don't get me wrong, I've had sporadic insomnia since my midteens and it's pretty nice to be able to conk out but, you know, sometimes I'd just like to listen to an entire episode. Anyone else?

I've really been enjoying it. I've found old gods of Appalachia and strangers in a tangled wilderness.

Podcasts similar to Tim Ferriss circa 2016

In the mid 2010s I enjoyed how Tim exposed me to novel ways of thinking around “working smarter not harder” and gave me my first peek into the world of tech and startups (probably changed my life more than I realize, as I now work for startups, helping automate sales and marketing related tasks)

At some point I stopped listening. Felt like he jumped the shark and possibly cashed in. The episodes were too long, ads felt never ending, and often he wasn’t even hosting.

Anyone else remember the heyday of his podcast? What other podcasts remind you of it these days?

Podcasts List?

I've been wanting to create a "Delta Green Podcasts" resource something like "What Do You Do Pods" has for Pathfinder (see this doc).

I had a list already in the Pretending to be People Discord, but wanted to make something a little more robust and include links and categorize into homebrew/frequency of posting, etc. Anything else that people would be interested in in terms of show metadata?

Here's the list I have (and yes, I do have a show in here):

  • GCP's Get In The Trunk

  • Pretending to be People

  • Role-Playing Public Radio

  • Sorry Honey I Have to Take This

  • Redacted Reports

  • Black Project Gaming

  • Stories & Lies

  • The Chaos Engine Podcast

  • Chaos Springs Eternal

  • ZeroDead Podcast

  • Undefined depths

  • Negative Modifier

  • Actual Play Entertainment

Podcasts en Català?

Bones- fa anys que visc a l’estranger i encara estic mes o menys al dia amb la música i les notícies, però m’agradaria començar a escoltar podcasts en Català. Tòpics: història, natura o senderisme, política, llengua catalana o occitana, països catalans, pesca i bolets, sindicalisme, etc. Teniu recomanacions? Quins podcasts esteu escoltant?

Streamers on smaller streams

This is a subreddit for anglers who pursue, or wish to pursue, their favorite fish with fly tackle. Whether you throw a 2-weight on bluelines for brook trout or a double-hander for steelhead or chase tarpon with a 12-weight, your contributions and questions will be welcomed and appreciated!

Streamers on smaller streams

I’m new to fly fishing and I really enjoy throwing streamers. I like the aggressiveness and just that heart thumping feeling those fish give you. I’ve caught a few smallies but I haven’t caught a trout yet. I’m in WI and many of our streams are narrow, wooded, and a LOT of brush.

What are some pointers on streamers that I may be missing out on landing a big trout.

(I know nymphs are also effective but after a recent bigger purchase, I’m trying my best on not to spend on another set up right now. Plus, I’d like to get better at one thing then move onto another.)
