I haven’t seen this movie in a long time but am rewatching now. In the first half hour there is Josh Hartnett, Orlando Bloom, Tom Hardy, Eric Bana, Jeremy Piven, Ewan Mcgregor, and I remember from a post before that the dad from modern family pops up eventually. I know Eric Bana was already well known in Australia and Ewan in the UK, but this cast is absolutely stacked with US stars. Were any of them already famous in the US? And if not, is there another movie that went on to ‘produce’ more stars? (Not saying their success is related to black hawk down, just that it’s the first movie before they got big in the US)
Edit: okay so replies are coming in faster than I can reply to now. There are definitely a lot of movies that fit this criteria and I want to watch them all, I love seeing older movies with someone I recognize. Please keep letting me know even if I can’t reply directly.

Wether its focused on the villain or just has a easily likeable villain, im looking for movies where the villain is built beautifully and is enjoyable to watch. For example, I loved the firefly family for they were crazy and hilarious, while still working well as villains. For an example of a kids movie is Jack Horner from Puss In boots the last wish, they don’t give him a sad backstory or make him a twist villain for once, hes pure evil and john mulaney is perfect as that role, hopefully you guys get what im saying thanks!

Universal refused to rehire Crispin Glover for the sequal as they believed he was asking for too much money, allegedly he was asking for $1 million dollars.
So they hired an unknown actor Jeffrey Weissman who vaguely looked like Glover and used a face mold of Glover that was made during the first film to assist in crafting his old age make-up, to make him look like Glover.
Glover and fiiled a lawsuit against Universal and Amblin Entertainment in October 1990, claiming his voice and likeness were used without permission. Glover argued he had a right to publicity, or the power to retain control over his own likeness. Universal countered they were simply perpetuating the character of George McFly, which they owned.
Without any admission of wrongdoing, Universal agreed to a settlement of $760,000.

I had Endgame spoiled for me as I was in my seat to watch it the Thursday it opened. As I was on my phone waiting for trailers to start, I opened up Facebook to clear a notification and the top post on my feed was some asshole purposely saying,
Honorable mention was LeSean McCoy’s tweet about the movie’s ending

Anyone else incredibly moved by this movie for some reason?? One of the most devastating things I have ever watched. I can’t even put my finger on why my reaction to this movie is so strong but I have been sobbing for over five minutes. I think it was incredibly powerful and I will never watch it again unless my zoloft is going too hard and I forget how to cry. This movie will do the trick.

In Alien: Covenant (2017), the is seen crashed in the mountains for a brief second when the Covenant crew leave the planet. This might indicate that a battle took place between the two spacecraft and the Engineers actually tried to defend themselves against David. Both ships would crash, but on the opposite sides of the city (we see that David's Juggernaut also crashed into a forest, but no explanation was given in the movie).

For fans of the Blank Check Podcast, with Griffin Newman, David Sims, and Ben Hosley. Is Ben "Professor Crispy"? Will Griffin and David ever get the premise of the show down to 30 seconds or under? Let's listen together and find out! #thetwofriends
It's a rare privilege to see a remake that so thoroughly and completely misses the point of the original.
It's a Die Hard with a Vengeance-esque case of retrofitting a popular title onto an existing generic action script. There are no less than four gunfights, at least half a dozen SUVs flipped after being shot, multiple double crosses, a "twist" in act 3, and slow-motion B roll of the innocent villagers praising our heroes.
The whole 'haul the nitro to put out the oil fire' plot is shoehorned into the story with undisguised indifference, and any sense of tension or suspense if removed with surgical precision. Classic scenes from the original are clumsily bolted into the third act - in such a way that you'd think the director was trying to speedrun.

There are probably many but I realise I can hardly think of any. Seems like there are three things guaranteed in life: death, taxes and a continuation of any half way decent or successful horror film. It's curious how rare it is for any good horror movie to be truly standalone.

Something like Kung Fu Panda or The Matrix to a lesser extent. Something where the main character has a hard time believing in themselves

I've watched this movie a few times and it's been hard to focus on the movie itself because I am so consumed by the mystery of how they shot this movie. The baby is huge, and fits in perfectly with the environment. The reflections, shadows, interactions with the rest of the cast, etc, is all so insanely convincing. There's nothing throughout this movie that has ever broke the immersion. It's not CGI, it's not a real giant baby, so what is it? The baby always seamlessly fits perfectly in the world. I am completely stumped. Someone help

I’ve looked around and some places say it’s a television miniseries and some places say it’s a made-for-television film series. So I was just wondering what it’s classified as.
