An Unsettling Encounter is a Main Quest assigned to you by Captain Brant in Dragon's Dogma 2. Following a report of a suspicious delivery to the palace, Brant once again asks you to sneak in and see what you can find.

An Unsettling Encounter Walkthrough
This short and sweet quest involves a little more espionage, sneaking back into the palace and investigating the delivery of a mysterious package. Get your instructions from Brant by asking about the “rumors about Allard”. Exit the Tavern and make your way back up to The Royal Quarter.
As soon as you step onto the palace grounds one of Brant’s guards will offer to guide you. They will lead you to the Guardhouse, which is attached to the palace. Put on the Marcher’s Armor Set quest and step inside.
You will remember this entrance from the Disa’s Plot quest, but if you don’t you will: get into the palace by going through the Guardhouse. Immediately turn right and cross over to the other side of the palace where there is a staircase that leads up to the top floor.
At the top of the stairs you will turn left and make your way toward the quest marked room. As you approach you will see a short cutscene, showing us that Disa’s son Sven has set up a distraction for us. Wait for Allard to exit his office and walk away, then rush inside.
At first it seems like there is nothing here, but it is just well hidden. Examine the brick wall on the left side of the room and you will notice a strange door shaped recess. Walk into it and you will discover a secret room, and inside: the Battahli-Crested Letter.
When you try to leave another cutscene will trigger, showing you that someone is coming. Jump out the open window next to the minister’s desk, and drop down into the courtyard below.
As you attempt to leave the palace you will be stopped once again, this time by a noblewoman named Wilhelmina. This triggers a long cutscene where she protects you from a guard. After the scene she will hand over a special item, the Myrmecoleon Card, and you will be allowed to leave.
Return to Brant at the Tavern and show him the letter to get your reward, 5500 gold, 1200 xp, and a Ring of Accrual.
