What we see here is all the beauty of the original gameplay with amazing improvement of graphic presentation. Perfectly splendid.

Beautiful, mysterious, at times even scary game. Would recommend, if you have never played it before.

Not perfect, yet okay remaster. All cutscenes look way better than original ones, still not amazing, but way better. To be honest i never really cared for the cutscenes in this game, i have played it since 2012 and i always skipped cutscenes after 1st time i played it. I just find it weird when people play it and act like cutscenes aren't top tier, like people don't understand that this isNot perfect, yet okay remaster. I just find it weird when people play it and act like cutscenes aren't top tier, like people don't understand that this is updated 2010/2012 video game. For 2010/2012, this game looks phenomenally good. So yeah main improvement is cutscenes, but also everything else, like grass, ground textures, textures in general, lighting. Ghosting effect is gone (thank god). Maxed out, this is now best version of this game and nobody can argue that. It simply looks way cleaner and better and don't get me wrong, fog is still there, difference is that you can actually now see where you are going. I have played this game over 30 times and i always got lost somewhere in the woods, because it was so difficult to even understand where you are. This problem is gone now. Looks good, not perfect, but still best version of this game as of right now. graphically it can almost compete with some modern games. New York level looks better than ever. Performance is okay, but i'm sure they will update it even more.
If you have never played it and wanna choose between this version or original, 100% pick remastered . It is ultimate edition of this game.

You don´t always need a full remake to make a beloved game feel fresh again. But considering some of the recent remasters on the market, Alan Wake´s rejuvenation looks rather dull - especially on XBOX Series X and PlayStation 5. Anyway, if you´ve never experienced the mysteries of Bright Falls before, your money´s still well spent.

This is very solid remaster, better than i expected. If you have never played it, play this version and not original, this one has been improved a lot.

This game is avg at best & pretty boring..
Th esetting must be the reason people like this game.
The Pac NorthWest is an American Treasure for sure. Sometimes games settings are bette rthen the gam,e we actually get. Like Kojimas Death STranding.. That world was exciting and we get a metally ill mailman who fights other mentally ill mailman... IMO Alan Wake could benefit from a

Not a bad remake but not much else. Music does sound better and the lighting looks amazing. Wait for sale but not bad purchase

I don’t give out perfect scores often, but Alan Wake deserves it.

The story is absolutely mind blowing and I am enthralled in this Remedy connected universe they have created. The gameplay is so unique and it’s such a breath of fresh air from all the "samey" games that come out nowadays. The remastered visuals are a pretty good step up from the original especially where lighting is

Overall if your like me and never got to play Alan Wake when it first released back in 2010 then definitely give the remaster a shot, you won’t regret it.

then definitely give this one a shot.

Dddddope game, now updated with doper graphics. My only real complaint is that the controls on the XBOX don't allow for remapping...having run/dodge as X or LB is unacceptable today. In fact, run and dodge SHOULD be different buttons, especially since this game doesn't use every button like in say 2K Sports games. Besides all that, the concept is amazing, the graphics make it scarier thanDddddope game, now updated with doper graphics. This could be a 10 but it's just a remaster not really noticing much of a increase in fidelity, texture quality but performance is better, and colors are better. But based on the game itself it should alone be an 8 to 8.5 since it is improved it's bumped it up to a 9. Wishing lots of amazing success for the game, and it's sequel now that it will be a full multiplat release!!!This could be a 10 but it's just a remaster not really noticing much of a increase in fidelity, texture quality but performance is better, and colors are better. This is basically same, what Resident Evil 4 did with Ultimate HD Edition. No ghosting effect anymore, better textures, better draw distance, improved cutscenes, better foliage. Absolutely the best version of this game from now on.

Finally reviving for a resumption of Alan Wake. It is noticeable gameplay, script and leveldesign (standard xbox360). But I'm glad the remedy has resumed Alan Wake.

Alan Wake remastered is something I have always wanted to exist as the original was highly under looked when it came out. It was tied to one console and frankly Remedy was not quite the household name it is today. It is one of their best games and worth checking out whether you played the original or not. It still carries plenty of jank and questionable design mechanics from that era, but the story and characters excel it past most of its own issues. This is one experience that is worth revisiting or experiencing for the first time.

Alan Wake is still a good game, but the remastered version reminds us that this game comes from a different era, and I wish that the devs would have implemented some QoL improvements to cater for this current gen.

This title is a true example of a game being considered art. The use of loops, light vs darkness themes, the music and score, all whilst building a lovable cast of characters makes it a memorable game. I would consider this remaster a general success with the exception for PC, consoles seem to be running the game with only one serious known issue that should be fixed soon.
