Tom Hardy is definitely in ‘Star Wars 8’… right?
Tom Hardy’s appearance on CBeebies last night, reading its nightly bedtime story, found hearts aflutter among a slightly older audience than usual. Fans of the actor tuned in for the Valentine’s Day broadcast and were quick to detail their general feelings of rapture, as Tom read ‘The Cloudspotter’ by Tom McLaughlin. He's got the rictus smile of a man who knows he's being objectified on children's television and frankly I'm into it https://t.co/CnGzq562M6
It seems that Tom Hardy’s Valentine’s Day bedtime story for CBeebies is more hotly anticipated than anyone might have expected. At the time of publishing, a trailer for the tale – he’ll be reading Tom McLaughlin’s book ‘The Cloudspotter’ – has amassed over four million views. “Cloud spotting is definitely more enjoyable, especially if your best friend is a dog,” the ‘Revenant’ star says in the clip.
It’s finally official: Donald Trump is the 45th President of the United States. This is something that a great many in the US and all over the world have been distinctly uneasy about for some time, and now, in his inauguration speech, one particular line uttered by the President has made some even more uneasy.
All you have to do these days is mention in passing that you’d like to play James Bond and you’ll be the bookie’s favourite by teatime. As such, Tom Hardy is now leading the pack to play 007 once Daniel Craig relinquished the tuxedo and Walther PPK. Paddy Power is now offering pretty rubbish odds of 6/4, ahead of Aidan Turner and James Norton, coming hot on the heels of comments the Revenant star made during an interview earlier this week.
'I'll collapse like a house of cards under pressure.'
One of the finest acting talents working today, Tom Hardy has shown that he can take on a range of roles and knock them all out of the park. It’s a huge ask for any actor to captivate an audience solo for the entire span of a film, but Hardy manages this difficult task with deft skill in Steven Knight’s low-fi drama. The entire film follows Hardy’s Ivan Locke as he drives from Birmingham to London and experiences as number of life-changing phone calls from his mistress, his wife and his boss.
Tom Hardy won’t be playing James Bond. Teeing up the question by bringing up the fact that his pal Christopher Nolan has said he’d love to direct a Bond film, Hardy was asked whether he’d be up for playing Bond should a Nolan-helmed project ever materialise.
Tom Hardy says those “Mad Max” sequels are still on. In Jan. 2016, “Mad Max: Fury Road” director George Miller told TheWrap that contrary to recent reports, he is far from done with the franchise, which has endured in the public consciousness since 1979. Asked whether he was truly done with “Mad Max” and the post-apocalyptic universe the character inhabits, Miller said he was misquoted after traveling for 27 hours.
"It's not a period drama until someone gets naked."
To see out the year, CBeebies only went and managed to get Tom Hardy as their special guest for Bedtime Stories – a short segment for the channel that sees him read a kid-friendly tale whilst sitting comfortably in a sort of cushion and cuddly toy grotto. Tom was joined by his enormous dog Woody, who was pretty chilled out for the whole story while napping on his lap. Would it be terribly wrong to record Tom Hardy's cbeebies bedtime story and watch it after every nightshift?
A soldier (we believe it may be Tom Hardy) against a devastating backdrop. Warner Bros has released the first poster for Christopher Nolan’s World War 2 epic ‘Dunkirk’, ahead of a new trailer set to drop later this week. ‘Dunkirk’ will tell the story of the evacuation of British and Allied forces from Europe that occurred between late May and early June 1940.
Fancy snuggling up with Tom Hardy this New Year’s Eve?
Leonardo DiCaprio clearly had more faith in Tom Hardy’s performance in ‘The Revenant’ than the Brit actor himself. And while that’s all very flattering, it means that Hardy lost a bet. The ‘Mad Max’ star told Esquire that DiCaprio bet him that he would bag himself and Oscar nomination for his role as grizzled trapper John Fitzgerald. Thinking this was an unlikely eventuality, Hardy agreed to the wager – the stake? A tattoo, custom-designed by DiCaprio. But then he got the nod for Best Supporting Actor. Sadly, it’s not a cool one, like an anchor or a topless mermaid. ...
Just in case anyone was holding out hope that Eddie Redmayne might be a potential contender for the next Bond, the actor has ruled himself out. Poll: Who should be the next James Bond? Redmayne declared, “I definitely will not be playing James Bond.
It’s official - Tom Hardy is Al Capone. According to Deadline, the 39-year-old British actor has landed the role of Al Capone in ‘Fonzo’ - a new movie by ‘Chronicle’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ director, Josh Trank. “Tom Hardy is attached to play all-time American gangster Al Capone in Fonzo, a new project written and to be directed by Josh Trank,” they revealed.
‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ was without question the biggest surprise of 2015. George Miller’s return to the franchise wowed everyone with its insane stunts and manner it treated its female protagonist, Charlize Theron’s Imperator Furiosa. ‘Mad Max: The Wasteland’ is allegedly beginning its shoot in the Broken Hill area of Australia, with its story focusing on Furiosa’s past.

Warner Bros. has finally confirmed the full cast list for Christopher Nolan’s WWII epic ‘Dunkirk’ in a press release announcing the start of principle photography in Dunkirk, France.
Daniel Craig’s cameo in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is one of the best easter eggs in the film, and it looks like another Brit is set for a similarly fun role in 'Episode 8’. According to reports, 'Mad Max: Fury Road’ star Tom Hardy has donned a stormtrooper costume and filmed a cameo alongside John Boyega’s Finn in the next 'Star Wars’ adventure. Making Star Wars reports that in the short scene Hardy plays a First Order trooper who recognises former stormtrooper Finn while the latter is on a mission for the Resistance.
They may’ve been friends onscreen, but these pampered film stars despised each other behind-the-scenes…
‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ star Charlize Theron’s spoken about the on-set rift with co-star Tom Hardy. George Miller’s movie’s made headlines for all the right reasons since its release in 2015, having scooped half a dozen Oscars and gaining a warm response from fans and critics alike. Interestingly, Theron went on to say: “Maybe the movie is what it is because we struggled so much with each other, and those characters had to struggle so much with each other.
