Issue: Call for Papers January Special Issue

Dear Colleagues,

We invite you all to participate in the next issues of JMC by submitting articles related to any communication, media, information studies. JMC is NO longer a thematic journal, JMC will have 2 regular issues in a year as December and June issues. This is our special issue for the new year. Also we kindly invite you all to cooperate in special issues. In this sense, our aim is to implement improvements during the transformation of media/communication or while investigating within the field of communication. In the case of communication and media studies in particular, we would rather include those carried out in a subject, in a group of subjects or in a whole degree from the scientific and technological area.

Through JMC we would like to create an open access scientific journal to exchange and disseminate any contribution that may involve communication and media studies so as to achieve a more significant research for our colleagues at scientific and technological universities. Hence, our readers could use such proposals as a model to be applied and/or adopted in their own contexts. In fact, we have a special interest in receiving articles related to experiences that imply a methodological change (when compared with a more traditional approach) and encourage or motivate developing new theoritical and practical theories.

We include here examples of some possible topics for the forthcoming JMC issue (but not limited to):
• Children, Adolescents and the Media
• Communication and Technology
• Communication History
• Communication Law and Policy
• Communication Science and Biology
• Computational Methods
• Environmental Communication
• Ethnicity and Race in Communication

There were also academics who has participated as observers. This “audience” was comprised of professors, researchers, communication and management professionals, and students.
The conference was organized into 10 sessions that included areas such as Management & Communication Issues, Communication in Health and Education, Multicultural & Cultural issues, Political Communication, Europe & “Arms” to better communicate/cooperate, the Workshop “Dynamics of Intergenerational Communication: Building Long Lasting Connections”, New Media, print Media & Business, Communication in Tourism, Advertising, New Technology & Communication, Communication in Education, Business, Management & Communication.
The Communication Institute of Greece is a non-profit association, established to promote research and education and to facilitate communication among academics, professionals, and individuals interested, among others, in subjects of education, communication and management around the world. The Institute was established in 2003 in France and again in 2013 in Greece as an independent association of academics and researchers who consider that education and intercultural communication is what we need to ameliorate our lives.
Every year COMinG organises at least one international conference (for more information you can take a look at http://coming.gr/index.php/call-for-papers/ ). We would like these conferences to become an opportunity for Academics, Professionals and Researchers from all over the world to meet, exchange ideas on their research, discuss the future developments in their disciplines and contribute to education’s future. Such kind of interdisciplinary meetings will continue to be organized on the same base of purposes every year. We hope that soon enough we will be able to propose more than one international events per year, to serve the mission statement of the Institute.
