An epidemiological study of oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) has been done in Bareilly, India. OSMF was dominating in male. The youngest case of OSMF was 11 year old and the oldest one was 65 years of age. The OSMF cases used gutka since 2-4 years. The most common chief complaint was intolerance to spicy food and soft palate was most commonly affected by OSMF.
