A picturesque beach on the south shore of Lake Ontario situated in historic Port Dalhousie. Stunning views of the Port Dalhousie harbour, lighthouse and the north shore of Lake Ontario.
Transient dockage is available on the west pier in Port Dalhousie for visiting boaters.

Sunset Beach is located in the Grantham Ward, along the shore of Lake Ontario on the Waterfront Trail and is in close proximity to the Welland Canals Parkway Trail. This park has 365 metres (1,200 feet) of sandy beach to enjoy. On August 24, 2015 City Council approved a request to change the name of Municipal Beach to Sunset Beach.
Between May (Victoria Day Weekend) and September (Labour Day Weekend)the Niagara Region tests the water quality at Jones Beach, Lakeside Park Beach and Sunset Beach. The water quality is posted at each beach and on the Niagara Region's website.
Conditions are also posted daily on the City's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
