In addition to the Walker Family Cancer Centre, the new hospital has regional cardiac catheterization services and specialized mental health inpatient services.

In 2008, the City of St. Catharines formed a partnership with McMaster University to establish the McMaster Niagara Family Health Centre. The centre is a clinical teaching unit to educate future doctors while helping meet the needs of residents without a family doctor.
