Review Procedure

All papers submitted are subjected to peer review. Only papers that contain original ideas with sufficient contribution to the literature will be published. The necessary steps for the review process are

1) All submitted papers are first checked for plagiarism with iThenticate program.

2) The editor initially screens the paper and checks if the paper conforms to the "Aims and Scope" of the journal. If the paper is not suitable, the editor immediately rejects the paper.

3) Another rejection in the initial screening stage may be due to the iThenticate report.

4) If the paper passes through the initial screening, it is sent to at least two knowledgeable referees in the field.

5) Based on the reports, four possibilities arise;

a) Accept as it is

b) Minor revisions

c) Major revisions

d) Reject

Usually all revisions whether minor or major are re-sent to the reviewers. A point by point reply to all comments either through revisions or rebuttals are needed in the case of revisions.

The final decision about publication is given by the editor-in-chief and not by the referees.
