As the hit fantasy-adventure Naruto continues, Sasuke must face Gaara in the final round of the Chunin Exams, a match that has a greater significance than either participant realizes. The students face off while Sand and Wind ninja attack the Hidden Leaf Village. The attack has been planned by the evil Orochimaru, who was once a student of the Lord Hokage of the Leaf Village. The fight between Sasuke and Gaara, who repeatedly proclaims he lives only to kill, is an essential part of Orochimaru's scheme: he hopes to take over Sasuke's body and keep himself perennially young, using a forbidden jutsu (magical technique). But Sasuke overcomes Gaara's clouds of enchanted sand and wounds his psychopathic foe. Other students from the Sand Village spirit Gaara away, with Sasuke in pursuit; Kakashi-sensei summons up Pakkun, the ninja dog, and tells him to lead Naruto and Sakura to Sasuke. Between battles, the filmmakers offer flashbacks of the lonely, bitter childhood that warped Gaara's personality. Naruto, who was also rejected as a child, understands what Gaara suffered, but he's reduced to a minor player in these episodes. Volume 6 ranks as the darkest and least comic installment to date in the saga of Naruto Uzumaki. (Rated T+ Older Teen; suitable for ages 12 and older: violence, toilet humor, grotesque imagery) --Charles Solomon

Option for Japanese with English subtitles, or to watch in English. I never use the subtitles while I'm watching in English, because they are different than what is being said-which drives me nuts-but the reason for this is because of who was translating. The translation for the spoken english is more accurate than the translation for the subtitles-for various reasons I won't put here.

But I'll have to wait and see if it has the 14 episodes it says it has because I just noticed that even though box 5 says it has 14, it only has 13 listed on its episode list (that nice little paper inside the boxes that tells you which episode is on which disc).

I can't believe they took it off instant amazon prime. Honestly naruto was the only reason i had gotten the membership there is nothing else to watch now, I'm so mad. I had gotten to season 6 then all of a sudden i couldn't watch it anymore. Now I have to pay for each episode like whats the membership for then!!! not sure if I'm going to keep the premiership now because now there is nothing to uses instant video for. The show itself gets 5 stars+ its the best show but the fact that I cant watch it now sucks so the service fact gets no stars since its not longer available

Yeah, some funny episodes here, but overall it became clear at the end of season 5 that they found a way to elongate the main plot points up until then since the series was popular, and then they gave us pretty much a ton of garbage in Season 6 and 7. Like I said, some of it is funny, but the way they extended the series is almost as bad as American TV would have done it with a popular show. (See Soprano's Season 6 or The Simpsons after season 8)

Naruto Uncut Box Set 6 is a three DVD disc set that contains episodes sixty-six through seventy-eight of Naruto. The first and second discs contain four episodes, and the third disc contains five episodes and the special features.

The first extra is labeled as "Production Art." This consists of ten pages, which are model sketches of some of the Naruto characters. There is a sneak preview of Naruto Uncut Box Set 7, which runs four roughly four minutes. Next is "From Sketch to Screen," which contains eight pages of storyboards from episode seventy-eight. For each storyboard, you can choose to see the clip that the storyboard is for. You can also see the English credits in the "Extras" menu.

A link in the extras menu labeled as "Trailers" takes you to three trailers: Bleach, The Prince of Tennis, and Death Note. The link labeled as "Manga" includes an advertisement for Shonen Jump Magazine, an advertisement for the Naruto manga series, and a couple of advertisements for other Shonen Jump manga titles.

While I'm disappointed in the lack of special features in the set, I knew to expect it after seeing the previous five DVD box sets. However, if you're a Naruto fan that wants to collect all of the episodes on DVD, then the Naruto Uncut Box Set 6 would be a good addition to your DVD library.

In order to write this review, I checked out a copy of this DVD box set through the King County Library System.

I've bought all other box sets uncut. The cds all come unscratched and the holder is in great condition to hold the cds (sometimes the center is broken and then the cds rattle, but not this). Love the series.

Love it, just like every season, it can be a lil drag watching some episodes but that's because you need to know/learn about the characters first. The season 6 is good but not the greatest of the series. All in all i must say Naruto is now my new favorite anime beating it dbz, inuyasha and others. Things do pick up once you reach Shippuden.

If you're a fan of Naruto than this set primarily deals with the sneak attack on the leaf village by both the sound and sand ninjas as well as the final fight between Sasuke,Gaara, and Naruto. The best thing about getting these box sets is that they are not censored in the manner that when you see a character get cut or hurt you see the blood or full damage that happens unlike what you see on Cartoon Network. If you just heard about this series I would urge you to get these box sets instead of the single disk both because of the price and the bonus of seeing an uncensored episode. The sets as always come in both english and japanese audio the video format is standard the extras aren't much you just mostly get some trailers and commercials for Naruto products.Though I still say if you like ninja animes or movies with a touch of comedy and drama get these sets right away..
