The "Find Sanbi" arc (episodes 89 to 112) of Naruto Shippuden is built on material from Masashi Kishimoto's original manga, but fleshed out with new characters and fights. The reptilian villain Orochimaru wants to capture Sanbi, the Three-Tailed Bijuu--a demon that looks like an armored sea-going dinosaur--and use its enormous power for his evil purposes. The ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village want to seal Sanbi away to prevent anyone from misusing the demon's strength. A squadron that includes Naruto, Sakura, Rock Lee, Sai, and Kakashi-sensei square off against Orochimaru's henchmen at the remote lake Bijuu inhabits. Sakura and the other medical ninja try to cast a chakra barrier that will imprison the monster; Kabuto, Orochimaru's lieutenant, hopes to control it with the psychic power of Yuukimaru, a frail orphan boy. Naruto, who carries the nine-tailed fox demon imprisoned within his body, empathizes with Yuukimaru's plight, and wants to rescue him. Guren, a formidable ninja who fights using "crystal-style" jutsu, stands between them. But when Sanbi swallows both of them, Naruto wins over Guren through his concern for Yuukimaru and his devotion to an honorable code of conduct. Although he's everyone's favorite knucklehead, Naruto will never abandon a friend--or a worthy opponent--in a dangerous situation. The filmmakers give the story added visual punch with the faceted pink structures Guren's crystal-style jutsu produces and the animated drawings Sai creates. The ending feels a bit sentimental, but this adventure delivers the mixture of supernatural ninja skills, slapstick comedy, and emotional warmth that Naruto fans expect. Great story.I love when anime progress stories like this.The original naruto series was well written.Each character was interesting.Alot of touching moments.Especially naruto,always trying to inspire an help.This continues in Shippuden.EXcept,the characters aged a few years.Which is what I meant by progression.Im not going to explain what each set is about.Just know this series is addictive.So if you get the chance,buy alot or all sets at once.I got all 15 on sale almost half off. 20ish$$$ a set.Im a little disappointed in the length of time it took to ship from Amazon LLC.5 business days just to be shipped.But arrived shortly after.The sets are kinda a ripoff considering each set is 11-13 episodes.But on sale it was a must buy.For 330$ I got 15 sets instead of paying
660$.I love this show and will keep buying.Set 16 is due to release in october 2013.

While I said a while back I was probably not going to continue purchasing Naruto Sets but for the sales price and the lingering fan feelings I decided to get a few new sets. This set is basically the second part of the Gurren/3Tails story arc so if you don't care for filler episodes don't bother with either the this or the eighth box set as that's are they are. The filler episodes will reunite a few of the leaf ninja twelve primarily Rock Lee/Tenten/Kiba/Shino/Hinata/Ino with help from Yamato and Shizune as well as Kakashi. The episodes try to show us Naruto's own feelings of his village as he tries to help a young boy find his own way with mixed results. For those who are waiting for the story episodes instead the next set will have the Sasuke/Orichimaru arc so no worries about having to wait for that, like usual the extras are pretty standard just trailers and some advertisements but nothing to shout about. For what the sets are going for right now it's still reasonable to continue purchasing them even for lackluster fans of the series like me just don't start paying if they make the set prices $50.00 dollars then you will be getting ripped off...

This disc set covers a story arc that focuses on the theme of "home is where someone thinks about you" or "as long as someone thinks about you, you have a place to return to". Naruto struggles over this advice, as he contemplates what if it is someone evil who thinks about you? Is that still the place you should call home? As usual, this arc is one where Naruto has an effect on other people to change them, or to bring to light the changes that are occurring.

The plot involves a lot of leaf characters, who are assigned various responsibilities. Like sealing jutsu, recon, guarding, and rescue missions. This also involves several new evil characters, plus scenes with the akatsuki, kabuto, and orochimaru. All centered around a boy with special powers and the three tails beast.

Everybody's got to love Naruto. Whether you're a fan of the anime, manga, or the merchandise, Naruto Shippuden is definently a great part of a great saga. A not-in-the-manga ark is taken in order to show more of Naruto's personality and heart and to show some more kick-butt fight scenes that are as worthy as any other. I've already gone through the entire series waiting and wanting more, and this set continues that awesome charisma that keeps me hooked to the series.

The three-tails arc is an original in many ways in anime. It is the only anime I know of that if cannon and filler at the same time. It is pretty much an extended part of the story. At times it has that filler feeling but at most times it feels like you are watching cannon.

I recommend this box set to any fan.
