Ever wondered what an international rugby player has for breakfast? Clue: it's more than cereal.

Wales star Jamie Roberts took to Instagram on Tuesday to show off how he starts his day and the Harlequins centre wrote alongside the post: 'Decent brekkie.'

The mammoth meal included pork, steak, sweet potato, avocado, hummus, broccoli, poached eggs and smoked salmon.

It is not the first time the 29-year-old has shown off his bulging breakfast, though.

Roberts posted another snap on Instagram two weeks ago, as he tucked into toast, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, spinach, yogurt, blueberries, juice and a smoothie.

With that, he wrote: 'Match-day breakfast!'

Following the 2015 Rugby World Cup, Roberts made plans to study at Cambridge University, having already qualified as a doctor from Cardiff University. He has now started a two-year, part time Masters degree (MPhil) in medical science (surgery).

It enabled him to play for Cambridge University and Roberts took part in the Varsity Match in December, though he was forced off at half-time due to a leg injury as Oxford won 12-6.

Roberts also made a dream debut in December for Harlequins as they beat Italian part-timers Calvisano 59-7 in the European Challenge Cup, scoring a try on his debut.
