Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba opted to take his mother Yeo as his guest to FIFA's Ballon d'Or gala on Monday night.
While many other players took their wives and supermodel girlfriends, it is a refreshingly humble gesture from Pogba, who became the youngest person to make the FIFPro World XI since Lionel Messi's inclusion in the 2009 line-up.
The France international was all the while dressed to impress with a flashy gold-flowered dinner jacket and double breast combo.

Pogba joined Juve from Manchester United in 2012 and has since gone on to make over 150 appearances for the Turin-based club in all competitions.
Last season, he played a key role in the Old Lady's Serie A and Copa Italia double, while also helping them to reach the Champions League final against Barcelona.
This term, Pogba has scored five goals and provided five assists in 24 appearances so far.
He is rated as one of the world's best rising talents and has been the perennial subject of transfer speculation for some time, with elite sides Barca and Real Madrid among his reported suitors.
On being confirmed in FIFA's Team of the Year, Pogba later Tweeted: 'Very grateful for this moment, happy to be able to share this with all of you!'
