Arsenal defender Calum Chambers shows off his skills on the driving range with perfectly timed bouncing shots

His adaptability on the football field has seen him play at centre-back, right-back and even in midfield for table-topping Arsenal.

And it seems that Calum Chambers' sporting flexibility extends even further than that…to the golf course.

In a video posted to his official Instagram page, Chambers uses a driver to blast bouncing golf balls miles out into a driving range – an ability that would prove beyond most amateurs.

After a successful first season at Arsenal where he was a regular at right-back, Chambers' role has been more restricted this year with Hector Bellerin's excellent form keeping him on the bench.

The pair of youngsters are part of the third meanest defence in the Premier League and an Arsenal side with their best chance of winning the title in years.

Last weekend, the Gunners overcame struggling Newcastle despite playing poorly throughout, eventually winning 1-0 through Laurent Koscielny's second-half strike.

And manager Arsene Wenger believes that the grit Arsenal showed will stand them in good stead for their tilt at the title.

He said: '[The result] shows we have the mental aspect — that is very important. Not to drop points when you don't play well is very important. The memory of this will help us in the future when we need to hang on.'

The same feeling ran through the squad with Chambers tweeting his joy at a 'huge three points', while assist king Mesut Ozil felt buoyed up by an 'ugly and hard fought win'.

It's been the most unpredictable Premier League season in recent memory, but boasting a squad brimming with talent and with a habit of late season surges, Arsenal are in prime position to clinch their 14th league title.
