Linekers to have a quickie DIVORCE today! Gary, 55 and his wife Danielle, 36, in shock split following six years of marriage... amid claims they 'disagreed over starting a family'

Gary Lineker and wife Danielle ‘to divorce following six years of marriage’

Gary Lineker and his wife Danielle are set to divorce after six years of marriage. The couple - who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Italy in September 2009 - are expecting to be granted a quickie divorce at 10am today. A spokesperson for the pair told MailOnline: 'Gary and Danielle have decided to end their marriage and their divorce will be confirmed today with the judge granting a Decree Nisi. They remain the greatest of friends and wish each other every happiness.' News of their shock split comes after the estranged pair were spotted attending the theatre together in London just last week, with Danielle's wedding ring noticeably absent as she walked yards ahead of her husband. Three weeks ago, the model-turned-actress posted a cryptic Instagram message about 'wishing for' or 'recovering from love'. The shock split comes amidst claims they disagreed over plans to expand their family. Gary has four children with his first wife Michelle, while Danielle is mother to a teenage daughter with ex-Coventry footballer Adam Willis.

Shrewd Bowie's family fortune revealed: Singer's smart deal means £135million legacy goes to his wife and children

David's Bowie Bonds deal means £135m legacy goes to wife and children

Despite his huge success, the London-born singer was thought to be close to bankruptcy in the 1970s with a string of bad business deals. But an astute financial move in 1997 brought him millions - allowing him to buy back the rights to some of his most popular work from a former manager. It meant that, when he died on Sunday aged 69, Bowie is believed to have left a fortune of £135million to his second wife, Iman, who is pictured with the late star in 2010, left and his two children Duncan, top right, and Lexi, bottom right.

Forgive me, but I find this hysteria a little over the top: STEVEN GLOVER says the Second Coming would scarcely attract as much attention as Bowie's death

This David Bowie hysteria is a little over the top writes STEPHEN GLOVER

David Bowie was a special pop singer and an unusual man, admired and loved by many people, writes STEVEN GLOVER. Speaking for myself, I was interested by much of the coverage on radio and television, and enjoyed articles about Bowie in this and other newspapers yesterday. But dare I say that the torrent of adulation in some quarters has been slightly overdone? Over the past couple of days we have been told countless times by some in the media that David Bowie was a visionary and a genius and a very great artist whose name will live for evermore. Isn't it the case that in modern Britain the death of a statesman or great writer or brilliant Nobel Prize-winning scientist would have received one tenth of the reverential coverage accorded to David Bowie? Inside David Bowie's 'tranquil' Caribbean retreat: Stunning mansion built for him as a private getaway goes on sale for £14million

David Bowie’s Caribbean mansion goes on sale for £14million

It may be nearly 30 years old but the £14million ($20million) five-bedroom mansion still retains the same glamour, extravagance and lavishly colourful interiors Bowie (top left) envisioned when he chose the home's Indonesian look back in 1989. The peaceful hillside hideaway is located on the Caribbean island of Mustique, once described by the 69-year-old glam rock icon as a 'fantasy island', and it now appears to have been snapped up by a mystery buyer. The villa was sold by Bowie to British publisher and poet Felix Dennis for £3.5million, but he passed away in 2014 and the property has since hit the market again. It features a luxurious bedroom (bottom right), card room decorated with mussel shells, a studio with bamboo ceiling, and a stage for musical performances (bottom left). There is also a veranda (centre) from which there are views of the garden (top right), the sea and what estate agents call 'the mesmerising Mustique sunsets'.

'You should be disgusted with yourselves': Furious man whose sister died of cancer snaps at striking junior doctors for being 'egged on by Corbyn's cronies' in heated picket line confrontation

Man whose sister died of cancer snaps at striking junior doctors in video

Stephen Minister, 53, (pictured) said he lost his temper after a striking doctor 'smirked' at him when he told them about the death of his sister from cancer. In a heated confrontation, he approached several junior doctors standing on the picket line outside Lincoln City Hospital in Lincolnshire and bellowed 'I've got no patience for you' after becoming exasperated by their strike over new contracts. In tense footage of the exchange, Mr Minister can be heard bellowing at two male junior doctors: 'I've got no patience for you.' He added they were being 'egged on by Corbyn's cronies' and 'bullied by the trade unions who were bringing back situations from the 1970s'. It came as Jeremy Hunt insisted that 'nearly 40% of junior doctors' had turned up to work despite the industrial action over the terms of new contracts. But junior doctors and the British Medical Association (BMA), which is behind the strike, pointed out that the vast majority of those who worked had already agreed to go in to provide emergency care, and few of those would have been voluntarily breaking the strike.

Former model Jerry Hall may have to move out of the £13million 26-room Downe House (pictured) in Richmond she shared with Sir Mick Jagger - because of her engagement to Rupert Murdoch. Accused by the posh flirty liar nicknamed the 'booze hound': How Durham student's 'bright future' was devastated by 'crazy drunk' student who claimed he raped her

How Durham student Louis Richardson's 'bright future' was devastated

Charged with rape and indecent assault, Durham University history student Louis Richardson's life immediately ground to a halt, writes TOM RAWSTORNE. Suspended from university, he was forced to put his studies on hold and return to live with his parents in Jersey. When, finally, the trial began last week, he resolutely denied the charges, claiming the sex had been consensual and accusing the woman's jealous boyfriend of encouraging her to make the complaint. The jury at Durham Crown Court believed him, clearing him of all charges yesterday. While the end of a nightmare for Richardson, questions remain as to how on earth the case got to court in the first place. His barrister went so far as to describe his accuser's evidence as being so full of lies and contradictions it demeaned 'genuine rape victims'. TV illusionist Derren Brown 'persuades' two ordinary women to push a stranger off a roof... but could you be talked into MURDER?

Derren Brown 'persuades' two ordinary women to push a stranger off a roof

Would you abduct a baby from a cafe if a stranger told you to? Or push someone off a tower block to their death on a stranger's orders? Of course not - unless you were part of a haunting social experiment performed by the illusionist Derren Brown. Last night on Channel 4, in a programme called Pushed To The Edge, Brown did exactly that. Under Brown's instruction, an actor playing a policeman persuaded a waiter in a cafe to steal a baby from its mother - after telling the waiter the mother was a child abductor. And then Brown pulled off an even more staggering scam, pulling the strings from behind the scenes - he is too recognisable to fool his victims in the flesh. In separately staged scenarios, Laura (left), Hannah (right), and Martin - egged on by a small group of (fake) charity workers - physically shoved the man off the roof, seemingly to his death.
