What is My House and My Nearest?
My House is used to show residents of North Lincolnshire services or information relevant to their home including;
- Councillors and MPs
- Bin collection dates
- Planning applications
- Recycling facilities
- Schools
My Nearest is used to show residents of North Lincolnshire services or information closest to their home including;
- Local Links
- Museums and libraries
- Sports and leisure facilities
- Youth centres
- National Health Services
How do I find my address?
To find your address within the My House and My Nearest sections, enter your post code or street name in the "search for a location" at the top of the page, and then select the "find" button. You will then be shown a list of possible addresses. Once you've found your address select it.
To change the address you're looking at select the "change" button where you will then be able to perform a second search.
How do I find information?
Within both the My House and My Nearest sections various groups have been set up which will you show services or information relevant to your home. The majority of the groups will return the 2 nearest locations with the exception to planning applications, which will display your 5 nearest.
If you click on any of the services or information provided in these groups you'll be redirect to the appropriate section of the website where you can find more information about that location, for example opening hours or contact details.
How do I find my address?
To find your address within the My Maps section, enter your post code or street name in the "search for a location" at the top of the page, and then select the "find" button. You will then be shown a list of possible addresses. Once you've found your address select it.
To change the address you're looking at select the "change" button where you will then be able to perform a second search.
How do I navigate the maps?
There are two way of navigating around the maps;
1. Using your mouse
To move the map simply click on the centre of the map and drag your mouse the opposite way you wish to move and the map will be re-drawn.
To zoom in or zoom out of the map simply move your scroll wheel up or down.
2. Using the navigation tool
To move the map using the navigation tool shown found in the top left of the map click on the arrow that represents the direction in which you wish to move and the map will be re-drawn.
To zoom in to the map select the "+" icon located within the navigation tool.
To zoom out of the map select the "-" icon located within the navigation tool.
How do I find information on the map?
Once you've selected a property, you will then be able to enable various layers which will display any associated locations on the map, for example allotments or recycling centres.
As default no layers will be enabled until you select which ones you're interested in. To enable a layer select the "show map categories" tab on the left hand side.
You will be shown a list of available layers. To enable a layer simply click the tick box, a list of locations will then be displayed on the map.
Once you've found a location you're interested in, if you then hover over it a link will appear where you can find more information about that location, for example opening hours or contact details.

If at any point you lose your way whilst using the maps click the "reset page" button to clear all saved settings and start again.
