The Armin-Wolf-Arena was built in 1996 and is the largest baseball stadium in Germany, with a capacity of 4,600 spectators. The stadium is used by the Buchbinder Legionäre Baseball Club, defending champion of the German professional baseball league, Bundesliga. A number of national and international competitions have been held at Armin-Wolf-Arena, including preliminary rounds of the 2009 Baseball World Cup. A total of 38,000 attended the six World Cup games held at the facility, including 9,600 fans at a game between Germany and the USA.
