Claude J. Summers
Claude J. Summers, William E. Stirton Professor in the Humanities Emeritus, University of Michigan-Dearborn, has published more than 100 books and articles, including Christopher Isherwood (1980), E. M. Forster (1983), and Gay Fictions/Wilde to Stonewall (1990). A pioneer in the emerging field of GLBT studies, Professor Summers has served as a member of the Board of Consulting Editors of the Journal of Homosexuality, a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Lesbian and Gay Studies Newsletter, and a faculty advisor of the University of Michigan's Gay/Lesbian Support Organization.
 
In 1996, Professor Summers won a Lambda Literary Award for The Gay and Lesbian Literary Heritage: A Reader's Companion to the Writers and Their Works (1995). glbtq's Literature department is composed of a revised and expanded version of Heritage that has been revamped for delivery on the web.

Ted-Larry PebworthTed-Larry Pebworth, Professor Emeritus of English, University of Michigan-Dearborn, has written dozens of books and articles and edited many others. He has been honored for his work with awards and grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Newberry Library, the Lilly Foundation, the John Donne Society, the American Philosophical Society, and the University of Michigan.
 
Dr. Pebworth has developed glbtq's style guide and assures that each encyclopedia entry meets stringent standards for clarity, accessibility, and thoroughness. As the guardian of the encyclopedia's integrity, Professor Pebworth also develops and maintains the site's intricately interlinked topical indexes.
