Have dinner by the pool at this new Bandra restaurant

Another European restaurant opens in Bandra. We give you a sneak peek into Eat Pray Luv

An evening by the pool, freshly-made food and friends for company seems like a perfect idea for a relaxed weekend. Bandra's newest entrant on the food map — Eat Pray Luv — offers an identical frame.

This new offing, which is expected to open its doors to the public on July 4, is by the owners of Sante (which is housed in same building). It's menu will include traditional European dishes prepared by chef Davide Cananzi.

The restaurant boasts of serene blue and white décor with an indoor and an outdoors section by the pool. Also, a part of the restaurant is a wood-fired oven, which will create delicious pizzas made from fresh local and international ingredients.

Cananzi also plans to use the oven to bake breads for the restaurant in the future. Director Gaurav Dabrai tells us that they intend to grow their own herbs at the restaurant soon.

The bar menu includes cocktails such as Fresh Passion Fruit & Basil Crusto (Rs 375), a citrus-ey drink that went well with the Biancaneve pizza made with mascarpone, cherry tomatoes and truffle oil ('595). One of our favourites was the Watermelon Carpaccio served with feta cheese, specially-made for the restaurant (Rs 375).

If you prefer meat in you salad, try the Warm Potato Salad with Chorizo & Fresh Orange Dressing (Rs 420).

For those who dig a shot of espresso, try the Espresso Martini ('375). Pasta lovers can tuck into fresh options such as Duck and Ricotta Ravioli with white truffle-scented cheese sauce (Rs 675) or Smoked Pumpkin Ravioli in mint pesto (Rs 525).

A nice way to sign off is by indulging in the gelatin-free Dark Chocolate and Chilly Jam Mousse (Rs 325). Now, if only we could take a quick dip in the pool after such a perfect evening.

Slated to open on July 4
At Eat Pray Luv, C'est La Vie, third floor, Hill Road, Bandra (W).
