The open FA tournament in Japan. More than 80 teams participate. Single match tournament. First round match is on September. The final is on 1st January 2012.

Cup winners will participate to 2012 ACL.

The league cup is played by 18 J1 clubs.
14 clubs are divied into two groups to play single-round-robin group league. Each leaders and runner-ups with seeded Nagoya, G-Osaka, C-Osaka, and Kashima (ACL participants) advance to quarterfinals.

Earthquake Shortened Regulation
14 clubs play home-and-away knockout first round and second round to qualify to the quarterfinal to play against seeded Nagoya, G-Osaka, C-Osaka, and Kashima (ACL participants). Matches from quarterfinals to the final are single match.

Earthquake Exclusive Regulation
Due to the earthquake damege, Sony Sendai FC plays only for the second stage of 2011 league. Sony Sendai plays six first-stage re-scheduled matches after July are regarded as the JFL official match, but are not included in the league table.
