GENEROUS girls from Greenlands gave up a month’s pocket money to help abandoned dogs.

Kiera Keane, 12, and Ava Portlock, five, created hampers - which also included a donation from a family friend - for Kenilworth Dogs Trust, which were handed over after the sisters saved their £5 a week for a month.

Their father Matt Portlock said: “My mother-in-law has had dealings with that particular dogs’ home in the past hence why we chose this particular one.

“My wife Karen and I are extremely proud of them both for their acts of kindness.”
