2014

The last Mercedes-powered season (before a switch to Honda) proves a tough one, despite a double podium finish at round one in Australia. Neither Jenson Button nor rookie team mate Kevin Magnussen trouble the top three again and the team only secure fifth place overall at the final round.

2013

After bucking the trend and designing a completely new car, McLaren struggle in the early rounds as the MP4-28 proves a handful for Button and new team mate Sergio Perez. A 64-race point-scoring streak, stretching back to 2010, ends in Montreal. The team finish the season a lowly fifth overall, without a single podium finish.

2012

Rollercoaster form typifies the first half of season, with the team winning the first round in Australia even as both Lewis Hamilton and Button in particular struggle to get the best from Pirelli's tyres. Mid-season updates put the MP4-27 back on the pace, but despite victories for Hamilton and Button, reliability problems derail any title bid...
