Quilted Ironing Mat. This “ironing board” won’t clutter your laundry room. My mom got this for me when I moved into my first apartment by myself. It was a small one bedroom and finding somewhere to store a full sized ironing board just wasn't going to happen. This is definitely practical if you live alone or in a small space. It has magnets on each side to clamp to the metal of the washer/dryer and wont budge while you use it. -RKH
DIY magnetic ironing board. Take an ironing pad, cover in a pretty fabric of your choosing (optional), sew magnets into edges and turn your washer or dryer into an ironing board. Strong, sewn-in corner magnets will keep it firmly in place and you will have a bigger ironing surface than standard, narrow boards. Roll or fold to store or sew an extra scrap of material to hang it from a hook in the laundry room.
This is a really creative use for thick magazine holder. She straightened two bobbypins and painted them white to use as the "stoppers" to keep the cans from rolling out. Very cool idea. I'll have to keep an eye out for these items at the dollar store or Goodwill. :-)

Magazine racks in the pantry. It's the PERFECT size to hold our little cans of veggies! The two little stoppers are bobby pins flattened and spray painted white. FYI: This a magazine holder was originally purchased from HomeGoods. Cans are not traditional size, they are the "little" cans that are about half the size of regular cans.

Pantry Organization Ideas: A metal magazine rack turned on its side is perfect for storing those petite cans of vegetables (not standard can size). Here bobby pins were painted white and used as stoppers, but you could also use zip ties.

Bubble Wrap Window Insulation I've used bubble wrap on windows for two three+ years now, and I'm amazed how quick and easy it is. This year, we are even covering the windows in the guest room -- we just take the bubble wrap down when guests come, and put it back up when they leave -- 15 seconds a window.
interesting.... Bubble Wrap Window Insulation. I've done this and it works. For those rooms where I want a clear view I simply put it up at night and leave it till the sun is no longer shining through then take it off. Also, those car shades with the reflector work wonders at keeping the heat gain from windows at bay.

Bubble wrap is often used to insulate greenhouse windows in the winter, but it also seems to work fine for windows in the house. You can use it with or without regular or insulating window shades.
