As the world becomes smaller, and connections online become more frequent than face-to-face interactions, multicultural understanding at the community level is more important than ever. Sister Cities International enables citizen diplomats in communities across the world to develop relationships with communities in other countries that are based on cultural understanding and mutual cooperation.
President Eisenhower founded Sister Cities International on the belief that the best way to ensure peace and prosperity between nations is through cultural, educational, humanitarian and economic development exchanges. Today, Sister Cities International continues to engage its members in relationships that promote peace and cultural understanding, but we can’t do it alone.
As a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, Sister Cities International requires the support of private citizens to strengthen the sister city networks and provide support for communities and partnerships as they strive to better understand and identify with their sister community/communities across the world.
Sister Cities International is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. No goods or services will be provided in exchange for your generous contribution.
