Halo: The Master Chief Collection has gone gold and will be available for pre-order/pre-download starting Friday, 343 Industries announced on Halo Waypoint.
The Xbox One compilation of Halo Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4 will release on November 11 in the UK, a few days earlier than previously announced and the same date as its North American release.
Zoom343 also revealed that it will issue a 20GB content update alongside The Master Chief Collection at launch. Campaign mode will be playable off the disc as the update installs, but the studio elected to offload multiplayer and some other features in order to ship with a single Blu-ray disc.
Halo 4's episodic co-op campaign Spartan Ops was pushed back to allow for "technical enhancements". All ten episodes will release simultaneously in December.
The collection's centerpiece is Halo 2 Anniversary, which includes a campaign that can swap between remastered and original visual assets on the fly and a comprehensive selection of multiplayer maps.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection also includes guaranteed access to the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta, which will commence in December.
