Nobunaga the Fool began as a flashy, goofy reimagining of world history that ripped historical figures out of their contexts and played with them. One girl defends another against all comers in a class full of prospective female assassins? It is a concept full of lots of action and yuri romantic potential, but it never fully capitalizes on that potential despite telling a complete story.
Seraph of the End deals in vampires, mysterious prophecies, and wounded heroes, all things we've seen many times before. Despite that it really does work as an interesting story, one that it's easy to get into.
