Chic Vintage Bride – Kay Deibel

July 9, 2014

One of my absolute favourite films growing up was Grease – when I was little I used to start every day of the school summer holidays watching it (and wishing I looked like Sandy, of course!) So, when I saw today’s Chic Vintage Bride‘s groom was none other than ‘Teen Angel’ (who could forget him crooning to pink haired ‘beauty school dropout’ Frenchy?? ) I knew I just had to share her with you…..

Chic Vintage 1960s Wedding - Kay Deibel and Frankie Avalon

Didn’t she look fabulous? Kay Deibel married teen idol Frankie Avalon on the 19th of January 1963. There is just SO much I love about her chic, mod ensemble – that pillbox hat and tulle veil combo had me squealing with delight and her boxy lace top with its boat neckline just couldn’t be any more stylish! It was simply the perfect for the couple’s intimate celebration.

Is it just me, or is the bridal fashion of the 1960s growing on you too?
