It is a disease that strikes the nerves and it was hamstrings and buttocks, in my case. I lay there and did not know if I would ever be able to play hockey again, so I've really learned a lot." Luckily it has not affected her central nervous system or threatened her career. "Now I'm in better physical shape than ever before so it feels surreal that I even have gone through it. I'm totally back", she said in 2012. (expressen.se, 17 Sep 2012; nhr.se, 23 May 2012)
MODO WOMEN FUTURE
She started a project in November 2012 called MODO Women Future to help encourage young girls to start playing hockey around the Angermanland area, and for those already playing to continue into adulthood. "Once a month I try to gather the girls and train together. It is important for them to see that you can actually play hockey even as an adult and in a team with only girls."
