On July 1 the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained and delivered to Kyiv a militants coordinator, self-styled major of Horlivka, Donetsk Region Volodymyr Kolosniuk, reads a statement made by the agency press service.
It says Kolosniuk, under direct leadership of Lieutenant Colonel with the main intelligence directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia Igor Bezler ("Bes"), was in charged of arms procurement, he was organising and taking part in armed attacks on roadblocks of the anti-terror operation (ATO) forces, abductions and tortures.
The detained man was in active search of sellers of heavy weapon for Bes' gang.
SBU officers detained the suspect in a cafe in Berdiansk, Zaporizhia Region when buying heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, assault rifles and explosives for UAH 2 million.
The terrorist made resistance to law-enforcers during the arrest.
The SBU Main Investigations Directorate in frames of criminal proceedings announced Kolosniuk suspicion of committing a criminal offence, qualified by Article 258-3, Section 1 (Setting up a terrorist organisation).
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, from June 18 to 20 the SBU detained the self-styled mayor of Mariupol, Donetsk Region Natalia Hruzdenko in Zaporizhia Region and three more persons on suspicion of terrorist activities.
