Origi, Campbell stock rising in Brazil

We kick off another World Cup-inspired edition of ESPN FC's transfer blog with a look at some talented youngsters whose stock is rising fast in Brazil. 

World Cup raising player stocks

The game's greatest players are on the sport's biggest stage right now in Brazil. No surprise then that some names that weren't exactly household before the tournament kicked off are now topping out some transfer lists according to a TalkSport report.

Three names in the mix are Joel Campbell, 21, of Costa Rica; Belgium's Divock Origi, 19; and Memphis Depay, 20, from the Netherlands.

Campbell has been an Arsenal player for three years, but he's never played a single game for the Gunners, instead biding his time on loan most recently with Olympiakos. But the effort he's turned in for Los Ticos at the World Cup could change all that. Arsenal fans might like to see him at Emirates. But there's a chance that might never happen because Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal brass are considering packaging Campbell in a deal for AC Milan and Italy's Mario Balotelli.

Many thought Romelu Lukaku would be the Belgian striker on most teams' wish list during the summer transfer window. But instead it's been Origi, who came on for Lukaku in Belgium's match vs. Russia to score the game winner, whom teams have been eyeing. The Lille striker just started getting first-side minutes last season and is on the record as wanting to take his game to the Premier League. Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers and Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino are two top suitors.

We mentioned Depay the other day on Transfer Talk, but thought we'd give the young Dutch player another nod after he put home his second goal of the tournament: a nice finish from an Arjen Robben cross to seal Netherlands' 2-0 win over Chile. Louis van Gaal is probably happy, and certainly looking smart, for bringing the 20-year-old with him to Brazil. Van Gaal is also rumoured to be interested in keeping Depay under his wing when he starts at Manchester United after the World Cup concludes. 

Toure good as gone

Yaya Toure seems set to move from Manchester City as the rift between him and his employer has once again widened. The Mirror is reporting that Paris Saint-Germain could be a destination for the Ivory Coast player, who says he was not given leave at the end of City's Prem-winning season to visit his ailing brother Ibrahim. The 28-year-old Ibrahim lost a battle with cancer and passed away June 20.

The 31-year-old midfielder is on the record as saying it would be "an honour" to play for the capital club.

Negredo to Atletico Madrid

Another Man City man might be heading for the exits from Etihad as well, according to the Daily Mail. Alvaro Negredo bagged 23 goals during Manchester City's campaign in 2013-14, but the Spaniard could be heading home to bolster the attack for Atletico Madrid. The 28-year-old would help Diego Simeone replace Diego Costa up front when, and of late more seemingly if, Costa jumps ship for Chelsea.

Gomis gets big deal

French striker Bafetimbi Gomis looks set to sign a deal with Swansea. The free agent last played for Lyon and was a sought-after commodity by both Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers, but Swans chairman Huw Jenkins beat both clubs on the offer sheet and seems to have his man.

Gomis' deal is reportedly for four years and worth more than 16 million pounds according to the Mirror. That works out to 80,000 pounds a week, the most money Swans have ever done a deal for.
