A man has been stabbed in the neck after a confrontation at a Sydney home.

The 37-year-old was found by police outside the house on Clyde St, South Granville, just before 6.30pm on Saturday.

He had earlier been confronted at the front door by three men.

He was stabbed before the group fled.

The injured man was taken to Westmead Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Officers conducted a search of the area with assistance from the Dog Unit, but they have not yet been given descriptions of the men involved.
