WHY THE REST OF NIGERIA SHOULD SUPPORT THE FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM IN THE NORTH... PART 1

When I was much younger,my dad used to say this " when you bent down and look at another man anus and laugh, don't forget that somebody behind you is also looking at your own"! My poor dad also went on to say that "when you see the beard of a man caught up with fire, fetch water and poor on your own beard"........... Now, when I look with pity the " I don't care" attitude of the South West, South South and South Eastern parts of Nigeria towards the terrorism in Northern Nigeria, my heart crept with utmost fear! Fear of what? You may ask me.

FOR NEW FRIENDS: This is my story

FOR NEW FRIENDS: This is my story, and how I came to have this page. You can ask me questions below.

I have lived in the camp at Dadaab (run by the ‪#‎UNHCR‬ / ‪#‎UN‬ High Commission for ‪#‎Refugees‬) for 23 years, since I was 11. I got married here, and my three children (aged 12, 8 and 4) were all born here. Our greatest wish is to go back home to ‪#‎Somalia‬, but unfortunately this is not possible because of the ongoing conflict there. I hope and pray that I can find a way out of the camp to live in a country with more opportunities for my family.

My choice is your happiness

In spite of the hardships in Dadaab refugee life, am usually motivated by my friends in oversea.
I feel strong and want to make change in my world but i can't be there how much i want to help others who need me.
No one is any one without every one and many thanks to every one who one day helped one who needed help.
Remember #Dadaab is waiting for you.
Kind regards.

For many years, I worked in the Research Department of Alder Consulting, a leading creative intelligence firm in Nigeria, before I left to head the Consulting unit. While in Research, I learnt a valuable lesson – It’s not enough to collate or analyse data; true value lies in understanding what it means and using it to drive critical decision making.

Staying Motivated While Exhausted: Resources on Dealing with Stresses of Advocacy

This is difficult work-no one sane is debating or questing that. Despite acknowledging this, we are often very hard on ourselves for a perceived inability to motivate the masses, to fully mobilize any 1 of the 7 billion people in this world. Step back and look at that number again: 7,000,000,000 people in this world may or may not have the potential to engage this drastically important cause. How any of these individuals comes to know of the cause isn't the issue here, that always remains squarely on the Girls Being Returned Home.
